This was my first glimpse of Vernal Fall at its full thunderous glory in springtime! From the Mist Trail, I climbed out onto a nice flat boulder and composed this late afternoon view. Even at this distance from the waterfall, occasional breezes brought the spray to me, making this a truly refreshing experience. At its longest drop, Vernal Fall is 240 feet tall. In the upper right corner you can see Liberty Cap, a 956 feet tall granite dome.
