About the Prints

Every landscape photograph on this website may be ordered as a fine art print. There is no charge for shipping and handling. All prints are made by West Coast Imaging in Oakhurst, CA, and are of the very highest quality available. West Coast Imaging is a specialty professional lab that produces prints for display in galleries, museums, or your home. They achieve excellence through expertise in their craft, years of experience, hands-on customer service, being obsessive-compulsive, and going above and beyond in everything they do. They'll tear up a print for minor defects most people wouldn't see. They'll package your prints as if they were going to the Louvre, even if they will be hanging in your living room.

Because each print is made by hand and sometimes on specialty paper, please allow several weeks for delivery. Often your prints will arrive in no more than one week from ordering, but occasionally delivery may take up to three weeks.

Prints are available on the following three types of paper - each with its own surface finish and reflective properties:

  • Gloss: Fuji Crystal Archive Gloss printed with a Chromira 5x ProLab by ZBE Incorporated. If you're looking for standard glossy prints, this is the choice for you. This traditional shiny finish photo paper has beautiful color and rich, deep blacks. Under intense dedicated light, this type of print holds up perfectly and delivers the most powerful and dramatic appearance.
  • SemiMatte: Fuji Crystal Archive Matte printed with a Chromira 5x ProLab by ZBE Incorporated. Like its gloss counterpart, this paper also has beautiful color and deep blacks. This is a great option for those who prefer a non-glossy surface, or for photos that will be handled a lot.
  • Matte: Hahnemühle Photo Rag printed with an Epson Stylus Pro 11800 printer using K3 Vivid Magenta and Matte Black inks. Hahnemühle Photo Rag 308 is a matte finish 100% cotton rag artist's paper. With the Epson inks this alternative conveys stunning depth, detail, and subtlety, and the colors should last for several hundred years! Because this paper produces absolutely no distracting reflections or glare, it is the best choice for display in rooms with many windows or other light sources - especially if you frame your prints with antireflective Museum Glass.

Prints up to a certain size can be bought mounted for an extra charge by checking the "Mounted" box when ordering. These prints will be mounted for you by West Coast Imaging on 3/16" thick acid free foam core. Mounting is generally a good option to choose because it keeps your print from ever becoming warped or wrinkled. It's also a good idea to have a print mounted by the same company that creates the print - this way, if the print is damaged during mounting, they'll simply print a replacement at no extra charge.
